My name is Maksim Lein, and I am thrilled to apply for the ML Engineer position at your esteemed organization. With a robust background in Data Science and Machine Learning, I am eager to leverage my expertise in NLP and LLM to contribute to your team.

Over the past year, I have honed my skills as an NLP Engineer at Evolwe Inc., where I performed fine-tuning on the NER model for extracting personal data. I created training datasets using the Mimesis library and developed scenarios for model training, with all code available on GitHub. This role allowed me to delve deep into LLM technology and understand its intricate mechanisms and potential applications.

One of my significant achievements includes developing a Telegram bot, SensEI, based on GPT-4 and LangChain, aimed at supporting users aged 25-35. This project involved backend development, database setup, AWS CI/CD processes, and implementing a personalization mechanism through a questionnaire. Additionally, I developed a neural network-based HTML parser using the Longformer model to automate data extraction without traditional parsers, showcasing my proficiency in machine learning and NLP.

I have also created a Streamlit-based graphical interface for testing and optimizing prompts for a Telegram bot deployed on AWS. This interface supports both internal and external testing modes, facilitating dialogue analysis and integration with AWS S3. Furthermore, I configured the LabelStudio platform on AWS ECS for data labeling in an NER project, ensuring high-quality labeling through Docker deployment.

In addition to my professional experience, I completed a 12-month Data Science course on the Yandex Practicum platform, where I acquired strong theoretical knowledge and high-quality practical skills in Data Science and Machine Learning. This year, I also enrolled in the "Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision" master's program at HSE University. This program is designed to deepen my understanding of AI and computer vision technologies, equipping me with cutting-edge skills and knowledge that I am eager to apply in real-world scenarios.

My educational background includes a Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot-Watt University, where I also completed a course on AI and machine learning methods in the oil and gas industry. Moreover, I hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Samara State Aerospace University, where I received a solid mathematical foundation necessary for my further studies and career.
