Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer

Currently we’re looking for a Senior Ruby on Rails/ Fullstack Developer for US Platform.

What you will do:

You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of RoR components for our platform, such as:

• Integrations with payments/KYC/custodial solutions:
• Platform support and performance enhancement;
• Development based on monolithic and microservices architecture.

Tech environment:

• Ruby on Rails + React and competent engineers ready to tackle any task.
• AWS as our infrastructure platform and enthusiastic DevOps ready to spin up any instance and deploy any database for you.
• A bunch of events through Segment, FB ads, Google Anakytics (UTM tags and all that).
• We consciously follow Scrum (not just adhering to all the rituals from start to finish); with weekly or bi-weekly sprints (including grooming, kick-offs, and retrospectives).
• We store documentation in Notion; tasks in Linear.app; and communicate in Slack.

Team:

Fully remote and distributed team of 5: (1 Engineering Manager; 1 Product Manager; 4 developers) with more than 5+ years of experience in Republic.

Our perfect match would have:

• Solid experience with Ruby on Rails from 3+ years (the more, the better);
• Previous experience working in fintech/with payment solutions would be a huge advantage;
• It would be a huge plus if you've worked with one of the frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue). It would be even more ideal if you remember, know, and want (within reason, of course) to do some front-end coding;
• Enjoys solving complex problems and finding simple solutions;
• Good command of English: for reading documentation and communicating in Slack, as well as being able to express your thoughts verbally. Ideally, your level should be Upper-Intermediate or higher.
