Lead Full-Stack Engineer (React+NodeJS)

Our mission at LIBERNETIX is clear: to transform money management by facilitating the free movement of money, secure storage, and long-lasting value. We’re a small, ambitious team of like-minded people, who believe they can make a difference in this area. Our goal for this year is to find the best people we can get our hands on, with top-notch expertise and matching cultural values, and build a well-balanced team. This time, we have an opening in the IT department. 

Our daily operations rely heavily on the internal tools and services that we build. This powers our operational support, financial calculations, business intelligence, and other departments. And these tools need more love. We want to strengthen the team with a team lead that will get requirements from the stakeholders and build working products. Generally, this is a 30% leadership, 70% engineering job.

Your key results:

• You build systems that solve the company's operational problems, have an understanding of the business, and know how your solutions impact it
• The solutions you take on are delivered in good quality and on time
• Automated testing and observability are in place to make sure everything is working correctly
• You and your team can make the necessary changes to application architecture (Nest.js) and infrastructure (Docker, AWS with Terraform) and fix any issues
• You and your team collaborate with support engineers, financial analysts, risk officers, and other stakeholders to implement changes and resolve issues

Your background:

• You have experience in FinTech, preferably in payments or banking companies.
• You have experience in leading a team, estimations, assigning and prioritizing work, reviewing PRs, and testing changes
• You understand how to design and implement automated testing, observability, and monitoring
• You have experience with:
  • React and TypeScript on the frontend
  • TypeScript, Node.js, preferably NestJS on the backend
  • AWS, Docker, and preferably Terraform
• You have experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with relational and document databases, queues, and message brokers

What’s important to us:

• You can work remotely, but we’d prefer if you could regularly (e.g. 2-4 times per year) travel to Riga
• Good knowledge of English. Knowing Russian is a good benefit
