DBA Engineer for Blockchain project

Work Format: Remote (with opportunity for future relocation to our Dubai office after the probation period for top performers)

EVEDEX is a hybrid trading exchange, merging CeFi and DeFi to create a seamless and high-performance trading experience. We are looking for an experienced DBA Engineer to design, optimize, and secure the data infrastructure of a high-frequency crypto trading platform. This role is critical for ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency in handling large trading volumes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and optimize high-performance relational and NoSQL databases for real-time trading operations.

• Ensure low-latency data processing, scalability, and fault tolerance in a high-load environment.

• Implement database replication, sharding, partitioning, and failover strategies.

• Monitor and optimize query performance, indexing, and storage efficiency.

• Work closely with backend engineers to develop scalable and resilient data architectures.

• Ensure security and compliance of financial transaction data.

• Troubleshoot performance issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement solutions.

• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines for data processing and analytics.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator (DBA) or Data Engineer.

• Expertise in PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, and NoSQL databases.

• Experience in high-load, low-latency systems, preferably in crypto trading or fintech.

• Hands-on experience with database replication, partitioning, and sharding.

• Strong knowledge of SQL query optimization and indexing strategies.

• Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions (AWS, GCP, Azure).

• Understanding of data security best practices and compliance.

• Experience with real-time data processing and analytics.

• Fluent English (C1+), additional languages are a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience with blockchain data structures and smart contract indexing.

• Familiarity with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging systems.

• Previous work on trading platforms, DEXs, or CEXs.

• Knowledge of big data frameworks (Hadoop, Spark, ClickHouse, etc.).
