Security Engineer for Blockchain project (DEX)

Work Format: Remote (with opportunity for future relocation to our Dubai office after the probation period for top performers)

EVEDEX is a hybrid trading exchange, merging CeFi and DeFi for a seamless trading experience. We are looking for a Security Engineer to strengthen our platform’s security, safeguard smart contracts, and ensure the integrity of our backend infrastructure. This role is critical in mitigating risks, securing protocol releases, and proactively identifying vulnerabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Write and review secure smart contract and protocol code.
• Continuously assess and review new protocol releases, identifying risks and providing security solutions.
• Evaluate and integrate security tools and partners as needed.
• Investigate security incidents, triage potential threats, and support the incident response process.
• Ensure the security and reliability of backend systems and infrastructure.
• Identify, assess, and patch vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10).
• Remove outdated and vulnerable code and dependencies.
• Develop security training and best practices for internal development teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security is a core part of development.

Requirements

• 2-4+ years of experience in security engineering or cybersecurity.
• Experience securing cloud-hosted infrastructure (AWS, Azure).
• Hands-on experience in testing, screening security software, and monitoring networks.
• Strong knowledge of secure coding practices and CS fundamentals.
• Experience with or willingness to learn Solidity, Go, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, WebSockets, Docker, AWS.
• Fast learner with the ability to adapt to new technologies.
