Lead Project Manager (IT outsourcing company)

Vallettasoftware - custom mobile/web software developer in the US and Europe.

- We are a distributed team and we have an extensive geography: someone works in Turkey, someone in Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, EU countries - we all meet in common Slack chats, where we discuss and celebrate important events online and share expertise without getting up from the couch.

Our clients are product development companies in various fields: fintech, travel, sports, medicine, entertainment, media, industrial. We work on more than 30 projects. We interact deeply with the client, and under long-term contracts we work as the client's department outside  - 1) we understand the client's tasks 2) we select people based on the specifics of not only the technology, but also the culture of the client company 3) our employees have been working on projects for several years 4) our people simultaneously participate in the internal affairs of our company (conferences, one-to-one, technical leaders and pmos discuss what is happening on each other's projects, evaluate our other employees, etc.). In addition, we also have outsourcing.

Our development stack - ​​React Native, Flutter, React, Angular, Node js, .Net Core, .NET Server Side, Razor, Python, AWS, Azure. And we continue extending that list.

We are looking for a Lead Project Manager to work on our projects.

Requirements:

• Experience in an IT outsourcing companies as a project manager (near 5 years)
• Experience with foreign clients
• Spoken and written English of at least C1 level
• Experience managing a team of project managers near 10-15 people
• Willingness to work in a rapidly changing environment (e.g. switching between tasks when managing multiple clients at a time)
• General understanding of software architecture
• Proactivity, ability to foresee the situation and anticipate risks

Responsibilities:

• Communication with your clients and their teams.
• Designing, reviewing, and approving project documentation (specs, roadmaps, estimations, etc).
• Managing and developing distributed teams - planning and implementing synchronization routines, establishing effective internal communications.
• Issuing tasks for analysts, developers, and testers
• Task and workload management.
• Team performance evaluation.
• Tracking the overall status of your projects, including financial aspects
• Weekly reports to the company management on each project under your control

Working conditions:

• Full-time remote work
• Remuneration: Salary + KPI-based bonus that depends on the success of each project under your leadership. (for the trial period we offer a fixed reward. The exact amount is discussed during the interview and depends on your experience and qualifications)
• Our clients are scattered all over the world thus occasionally you may need to communicate with them outside of your normal working hours.
