We are a fast-growing and innovative technology company, focused on advancing solutions in the renewable energy industry. As part of our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. This role is essential in shaping and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, driving automation, and ensuring the high performance and reliability of our software systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Work in close collaboration with software developers to design, build, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitLab for streamlined software delivery.
- Administer and enhance our cloud infrastructure hosted on Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform, ensuring it is secure, scalable, and reliable.
- Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Docker to manage infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
- Continuously monitor infrastructure health and application performance, resolving issues proactively and ensuring minimal downtime.
- Identify opportunities to enhance automation, efficiency, and reliability within deployment and operations workflows.
- Remain current with DevOps best practices, cloud technologies, and emerging tools.
Your Background
- A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 8 years of DevOps engineering experience, ideally in a senior capacity.
- A total of at least 12 years in the broader IT field.
- Strong hands-on experience with configuration management, especially using Ansible.
- In-depth knowledge of container orchestration and microservices using Kubernetes and Docker.
- Proven expertise in managing Linux-based systems and environments.
- Experience with public cloud platforms, particularly Azure and/or GCP.
- Solid understanding of networking and cloud security (load balancing, VPNs, encryption, certificate and key management).
- Familiarity with horizontal autoscaling in microservices environments.
- Skilled in using IaC tools like Terraform, Azure Resource Manager, or CloudFormation.
- Practical experience working with GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Previous usage of project collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Comfortable working in an agile, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and communication skills.
