Join HEAL Security, the world-class cybersecurity startup that's setting new industry standards to safeguard healthcare organizations and their patients from cyber threats. With key funding and support from prominent players in the U.S. medical industry, we’re developing ultramodern Cognitive Cyber Intelligence technology and services to protect sensitive data and critical systems. We’re looking for passionate individuals who share our values of ethics, empathy, passion, and trust to work together as a team and make a positive impact in the healthcare industry. If you’re ready to take on a meaningful challenge and help protect those who care for us in our most vulnerable moments, join our mission today.

Position Summary:

As our Development Lead for Desktop, you will be responsible for leading the team in building our world-class healthcare cybersecurity product, on top of our secure infrastructure. Leveraging GCP & GKE, Kubernetes, and various scalable GCP services such as PubSub and Firestore, you will support and be able to contribute to the deployment and development of projects written in TypeScript, Python, and Clojure. Strong product development and full-stack software engineering skills are a requirement. Our primary warehouse is built on a graph database, with various services contributing to the data visible to the user – search, analytics, and so on.

You will be reporting directly to the CTO, as part of a team of peers at your same level.

Your experience and skills:

At least 5 years of working with full-stack software projects.

Very strong SPA frontend skills, TypeScript, CSS, Browser APIs.

Typescript, Python, and Clojure, to be able to take part in feature development and aid team members. If you have worked with any of Datomic, GraphQL, ClickHouse before, that is a huge plus.

Proven ability with GCP & GKE, Kubernetes, and scalable GCP services (e.g., PubSub, Firestore, Dataflow).

1-2 years of successfully holding a lead position.

Advanced understanding of modern development, deployment, git, cloud, and distributed computing. Experience with security best practices in cloud environments.

Interest in Cybersecurity is essential – although experience in the field is not needed.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Have worked in and enjoyed a remote-first environment, and understand the skills needed to be successful in one.
