Cattle Care, ‌an organization dedicated to transforming the dairy farming industry, has been on a remarkable journey since 2017. During this time, the team has diligently developed an operational platform for dairy farms that harnesses the power of Computer Vision technology. In 2021, a significant milestone was achieved with the launch of the flagship product, a people management tool designed specifically for the most labor-intensive and crucial aspect of a dairy farm - the milking parlor. In the year 2022, growth exceeded threefold.

The company helps farm owners by providing daily reports about all the deviations happening in the milking facility. Its game-changing technologies help conduct round-the-clock video monitoring of cattle using commercial equipment and track behavioral signatures for each cow in the herd using computer vision algorithms. Moreover, it helps to understand whether cows are sick or not so that you can react on time and prevent bacteria from spreading into the milk. You probably haven't thought about it but this technology helps not only farmers and their cows to be happier & healthier, but also us as customers - so we buy the best milk from the best producers, without fear that we may get infected with something.

At Cattle Care, using artificial Intelligence, they increase the revenue of dairy farms and decrease GHG emissions, antibiotics, and hormone usage. They secured $3.2M in funding from serial angel investors, VCs, and domain experts. They have 70 farms and $1.4M ARR; the company has grown 3X in 2022 and hit break-even. The new Tech Lead will help Cattle Care scale the business to 140 farms and $5M ARR in 2024.

Currently, their Russian-speaking part of the team is in search of a Manual QA Engineer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in quality assurance and a willingness to contribute to the codebase. At Cattle Care, they prioritize flexibility and adaptability to achieve their business goals. As part of the agile team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability and efficiency of our web applications through meticulous manual testing.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the team to achieve sprint goals by providing thorough manual testing of web applications.

Describe and manage test cases/checklists to enhance feature testing efficiency and release stability.

Assist the tech lead in creating autotests for critical components of the applications (unit and integration tests).

Prioritize flexibility and adaptability over perfection, ensuring timely delivery of quality-tested features.

Contribute to the development of core test cases and help in transitioning them to automated tests.

Undertake API and web application testing to ensure functionality meets requirements.

Participate in sprint planning and adapt quickly to changing priorities and tasks.

BE: PG 15 + Python 3.10 + Django 4.2 + Tailwind + Celery.

Legacy FE: React 16 + Redux + Axios + ES2021 + TS + webpack + Bootstrap.

Legacy BE: MySQL + Python 3.6 + Django 2.2 + Celery.

Qualifications:

Minimum 1+ year of commercial experience as a Manual QA Engineer.

Proficiency in managing project tests and basic understanding of computer science principles.

Experience in API and web application testing.

Strong desire to focus on goals rather than roles, with the ability to switch responsibilities as needed.

Fluent in Russian language, as the team predominantly communicates in Russian.

Written & spoken English proficiency for being able to speak to other team members.

Strong self-reliance and the ability to create solutions and make decisions on your own with the minimum required confirmations.

Be a proactive team player who's not afraid to speak up his own opinion - seriously, the company is looking for a person with many ideas, not just an executor.

Organizing skills - you know exactly how to organize your work and personal time and don't want any minute to go to waste.

Goal- & detail-oriented - you can easily adapt to a fast-changing environment without losing your goals and targets.

Working hours:

The schedule is flexible, allowing you to work from any time zone. However, you will be required to attend check-in calls once every two days at 8:00 AM Argentina time, as the Tech Lead is based in Argentina (check your timezone here).
