About the company 

Thera Interactive is an indie game development studio founded in early 2022. The founder and head of the studio is an indie developer Sergei Kachmar.

We are developing World of Sea Battle, a pirate open world MMO set in the Age of Sail. The game is filled with historical sailing ships, a dynamic economy, guild wars, and the spirit of sea adventures!

Our tight-knit international team is small, comprised of fewer than 50 members. We share a deep passion for gaming and our product. Today, our game boasts over 100,000 registered users, with an average of 1,000 to 1,500 players online

Responsibilities

• Editing/reworking old English text inside the game and marketing materials
• Localizing newly added text from Russian to English as it comes
• Localizing new marketing materials.
• Coordinating German localization manager(sending him text files with new text to localize, checking if the correct lines are localized etc)
• Close communication with other team members

Minimum Qualifications

• Over 1 year of experience localizing creative writing from Russian to English.
• Excellent proficiency in English with a keen sense of creative writing localization.
• Ability to localize not only creative, but marketing texts.
• Strong interpersonal skills, capability of effective teamwork and communication.
• Creative writing experience would be a plus
• Education in writing, linguistics, or philology would be a plus
• Previous experience in localizing video games would be a plus
