Senior PHP Developer / Team Lead

Looking for a skilled Senior Software Developer to take charge of maintaining, evolving, and redesigning a critical payment system built on PHP, Java, and MySQL or PostgreSQL.

KEY TASKS

• Maintain and optimize the existing payment system to ensure its reliability, security, and performance

• Analyze the current architecture and propose improvements to enhance scalability and maintainability

• Plan and implement system redesigns and modernizations in alignment with business needs

• Develop and maintain detailed documentation of the system architecture, workflows, and processes

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including stakeholders, product managers, and other developers, to define system requirements and deliver enhancements

• Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices to recommend and implement relevant innovations

THE COMPANY EXPECTS

• Proven experience working with PHP, Java, and MySQL/PostgreSQL in a full-stack or backend development capacity (5+ years experience)

• Strong understanding of system architecture and legacy codebases

• Experience in system redesigns and migrations, with a focus on scalability and maintainability

• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills

• Strong communication skills for collaborating with stakeholders and team members

• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and development best practices

• Knowledge of the modern AI coding assistive technologies

• Experience in the payment systems or financial transactions domain

• Familiarity with modern frameworks or tools that could enhance the existing system

• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD pipelines

• Knowledge of .NET will be a benefit
