Senior Python Developer ML/AI

We are seeking a highly skilled Python Developer with a strong foundation in Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to join our dynamic, fast-paced, and highly regulated biotech environment.

Hard Skills

• Enterprise-grade qualities: experience with application architecture, necessarily with large and complex data transactions in government-regulated areas only* and across multiple systems.

* Such as Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Biology, Genetics, Science, Finance, Fintech, Stock, Banking, Military, Air Force, Space Force, or any government institutions with highly regulated specifics.

• Proven expertise in developing and deploying ML/AI models, including experience with common frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
• Implementation experience and deep understanding of data structures, relational databases, and data warehousing concepts.
• Intensive experience and deep knowledge of Python programming.
• Expert knowledge of SQL is a must.
• The ideal candidate would also be familiar with Infrastructure Engineering techniques and cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS). Hands-on experience building and managing infrastructure deployed in AWS.

Soft Skills

• Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a broader team.
• Ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the business.
• Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Skills

• Expert knowledge of ETL tools and/or prior experience developing ETL tools will be a significant plus.
• Experience with major BI tools, such as AWS Quicksight, Tableau, etc., will be a significant plus.
• Experience building reporting or BI systems in Python, Java, and RDBMS will be a significant plus.
• Proven experience with AWS Quicksight and Tableau will be a plus.
• Experience with Java and Angular is a plus.
• Prior experience with AWS Redshift is a significant plus.
• Any exposure to Life Sciences / Health Care in practical work would be a plus.
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related Engineering field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all team ceremonies, including planning, grooming, product demonstration, and team retrospectives.
• Work with product owners and other development team members to determine new features and user stories needed in large/complex development projects.
• Support the team in the writing of deployment scripts and strongly emphasize automated deployment, infrastructure automation solutions, and continuous delivery processes.
• Participate in code reviews with peers and managers to ensure that each increment adheres to the original vision described in the user story and all appropriate standard resource libraries and architecture patterns.
• Ensure adherence to development standards and facilitate sharing of best practices across development teams and support organizations.
