Currently we’re looking for a a skilled React Native Engineer to join our cross-functional team working on Republic’s mobile applications. You will play a key role in building and maintaining high-quality mobile experiences that deliver value to our users.

What you’ll do:

• Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using React Native for iOS and Android.
• Build and implement user interfaces and components based on designs and wireframes.
• Integrate with RESTful APIs and third-party services.
• Optimize performance and troubleshoot application bottlenecks.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions to shape scalable architecture.
• Collaborate with design, product, and backend teams to ensure alignment and quality.
• Support and improve CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications.

Our perfect match would have:

• 2+ years of experience building mobile applications with React Native.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Understanding of mobile application architecture and design patterns.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Familiarity with app publishing processes for the App Store and Google Play.
• Hands-on experience with testing tools such as Jest and Detox.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Expo and its ecosystem.
• Familiarity with native iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin) development.
• Experience migrating existing applications to React Native.
• Background in building and maintaining mobile SDKs
• Experience working in distributed and remote-first teams
