Senior Quality Assurance Specialist

The client has grown to be the largest provider in the GCC servicing events in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and Lebanon.

Platinumlist provides ticketing solutions for the following sectors:

●  Entertainment events large and small

●  Business events, event visitor registration services, and badging

●  Sport events

●  Football

●  Triathlons and Runs

●  Tourism attraction tickets

●  Box Office solutions for venue ticketing, including stadiums, theatres and cinemas(currently they serve 15 stadiums and one theatre LaPerle)

●  Marketing solutions for events

●  Cinema tickets aggregation

Currently,  we are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist to join our dynamic team. The Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications or products. This role involves thorough testing, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to resolve issues.  The QA role is essential for ensuring the delivery of reliable and high-quality software products. By effectively planning, executing, and documenting testing activities, QA contributes to the overall success of software development projects while continuously striving for improvement.

What you will do:

• Develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements. Execute tests and report findings.
• Identify, document, and track defects using designated tools. Work with development teams to resolve issues.
• Conduct regression testing to ensure previously identified defects have been resolved and new features function correctly.
• Develop and execute automated test scripts using appropriate tools and frameworks.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality standards are met.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of QA practices.
• Document test results, procedures, and defects for future reference and knowledge sharing.
• Conduct performance testing to assess the scalability and responsiveness of applications under varying conditions.
• Coordinate and facilitate UAT activities with end-users to ensure products meet business requirements.

What we are looking for: 

● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. ● Proven experience as a QA or similar role. 

● Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.                            ● Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases. ● Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks. 

● Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 

● Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results. 

● Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 

Nice to have:  

● Experience with Agile development methodologies. 

● Knowledge of SQL and database testing. 

● Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner. ● Certification in Quality Assurance (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus.
