Mellow is a global fintech company that helps businesses build and manage talent pools of freelancers, contractors, and contingent workers.
We are looking for a highly motivated Business Development Manager to drive growth, forge strategic partnerships, and expand our presence in the European market. This role is ideal for a proactive professional with a strong sales background, excellent relationship-building skills, and in-depth knowledge of the European fintech ecosystem and startup landscape.
Responsibilities
- Build a pipeline of opportunities through referrals and strategic partnerships;
- Manage pipeline in CRM (e.g., HubSpot) to accurately forecast revenue;
- Conduct sales calls, deliver short deck presentations, and lead detailed product demos;
- Consistently close deals and achieve quota attainment;
- Develop a deep understanding of our product portfolio and competitive landscape;
- Lead market research and competitive analysis, acting as an internal expert on partnerships and strategic market moves;
- Identify and establish new business opportunities, including markets, clients, and service offerings;
- Create and implement strategies to expand business growth;
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, understanding their needs and developing tailored proposals;
- Represent the company at industry events and conferences, staying informed about market trends;
- Manage and train a business development team, ensuring high performance and goal achievement;
- Work closely with the Customer Success team to ensure a seamless transition for new clients.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a Business Development Manager, Sales Executive, or a relevant role;
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets;
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g., HubSpot);
- Ability to travel within the EU and across EU borders without restrictions;
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills;
- Strong time management and strategic planning abilities;
- Ability to establish and maintain customer relationships with decision-makers (i.e., CXO level, EVP, VP, Director, Head of HR);
- Willingness to take responsibility for client success beyond the initial sale;
- Passion for sales, business development, and driving growth.
