Senior Python Developer (Web3, Blockchain, DEX)

About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior Python Developer with strong expertise in blockchain to help build a top-tier trading system in DeFi. In this role, you’ll tackle a wide range of R&D challenges that will define the technical foundation of the product. Over the long term, you'll get to hand-pick your own team of specialists to scale the platform further.

Tech Stack: Python, Redis, GraphQL, Docker, Nginx, Git, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.

What You’ll Do:

• Be the point of reference for all things R&D — research profit-generating hypotheses (e.g., LP strategies with impermanent loss hedging, arbitrage, and liquidations) and validate them through backtesting on historical on-chain data.
• Develop algorithms for DEXs and CEXs — automate liquidity provision and management, position hedging (futures, options, and other derivatives), and trading.
• Collaborate with protocols and partners — bring best practices from centralized trading into the DeFi environment.

Advanced Tasks:

• Develop on-chain components — create and modify smart contracts in Solidity.
• Launch new strategies and initiatives — assemble your own team of professionals and test strategies based on MEV, cross-chain arbitrage, and liquidations.

What You Have:

• 5+ years of experience in backend microservice development with Python (ideally within Web3/blockchain projects).
• Solid knowledge of how DEXs work (peculiarities of different UniSwap versions, Balancer, Curve), liquidity pools mechanics, integrations with on-chain and off-chain orders, and backtesting.
• Deep understanding of blockchain basics (Ethereum L1/L2).
• A can-do attitude — you’re ready to suggest your own hypotheses, take part in brainstorming ideas, and be hands-on when implementing them.
• Good knowledge of English (B2+).

Nice-to-Haves:

• Basic understanding of financial markets and investing.
• Experience with Rust or JavaScript.
• Experience with backtesting frameworks for DEXs (Demeter or similar), blockchain indexers (Envio, Ponder, The Graph), MEV and arbitrage windows (DEX-to-DEX, DEX-to-CEX, cross-chain).
• Experience writing smart contracts in Solidity that interact with other on-chain contracts.
• Activity on GitHub (open-source contributions or pet projects in blockchain/trading).
