We are currently seeking an Analytics Lead in Ultimate Guitar Team to lead data infrastructure development, driving growth through optimized, automated processes and impactful initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

Comprehensive Data Analysis & Dashboarding: Perform detailed data analysis and develop insightful dashboards summarizing data related to the website, Ultimate Guitar apps, and their monetization.

  • Decision-Making Support: Develop tools and analyses to aid in decision-making for product and operations initiatives, helping prioritize product initiatives and backlog hypotheses based on predicted impact.
  • Data Pipelines & Infrastructure: Construct and maintain batch and real-time data pipelines using data processing frameworks, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance in collaboration with the data platform team. Optimize and implement the data infrastructure to support product and monetization analytics.
  • High-Quality Code: Deliver scalable, testable, maintainable, and high-quality code for data tools and products, while driving initiatives to enhance data quality through testing, optimization, and tooling.
  • Collaboration & Synchronization: Regularly engage in synchronization meetings with the existing analytics and cross-functional teams. Work closely with engineers, product managers, and partners to effectively tackle user-centric data problems.
  • Experimentation & Hypothesis Testing: Actively participate in project work by formulating hypotheses, detailing logic and event tracking, and assisting in the successful implementation and launch of experiments that provide new insights and knowledge.
  • Operational Efficiency: Automate and optimize operational processes, driving business metric improvements through innovative data solutions and tools.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Manage a team of analysts, fostering collaboration and promoting best practices. Mentor team members to ensure continuous growth and accountability, and facilitate knowledge sharing to elevate the team’s overall performance.
  • Data Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy for accountable domains, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in product and monetization analytics, minimum 2 years as a manager
  • Proficiency in SQL (any dialect), with familiarity with Clickhouse being advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Python/R, including basic statistical, data engineering, and visualization libraries (or experience with other programming languages).
  • Strong grasp of math, probability theory, and mathematical statistics, including practical experience conducting A/B tests and hypothesis testing.
  • Experience with BI tools and ETL tools (e.g., Airflow, Astromer).
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize information across a broad ecosystem to diagnose problems and devise solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of collaborating and maintaining relationships with multiple business and technical teams.
  • Product-oriented mindset with strong task-setting, planning, hypothesis generation, and project management abilities.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English (B2 level or higher).
  • Understanding of music notation and production processes is a plus.
