Overview
We are looking for an experienced and motivated QA Team Lead to drive quality initiatives across our software development lifecycle. This role is responsible for leading a team of QA engineers, establishing testing strategies, ensuring product reliability, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software at scale.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of QA engineers (manual and/or automation).
 - Define clear goals, provide regular feedback, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
 - Manage team workload, priorities, and resource planning.
Quality Strategy & Process
 - Define and implement QA strategies, test frameworks, and best practices.
 - Ensure test coverage across functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
 - Drive automation efforts to improve efficiency and reduce manual overhead.
 - Champion quality throughout the development lifecycle (shift-left testing).
Collaboration & Communication
 - Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to align on requirements and acceptance criteria.
 - Represent QA in planning meetings, sprint reviews, and release management.
 - Act as the point of escalation for quality-related issues.
 
Execution & Delivery
- Oversee test planning, execution, and reporting.
 - Ensure defects are tracked, triaged, and resolved in a timely manner.
 - Monitor and report on product quality metrics and team performance.
 - Contribute to release readiness and risk assessments.
 
Requirements
- Proven experience as a QA Engineer with at least 2+ years in a leadership or lead role.
 - Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes (manual and automation).
 - Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG, etc.).
 - Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines.
 - Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
 - Experience with test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Zephyr,).
 - Ability to balance technical leadership with people management.
 
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with performance, or security testing.
 - Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS).
 - Background in mentoring or training junior engineers.
 - Exposure to analytics and quality metrics dashboards.
