Compliance and Collection Specialist

We are looking for a Compliance and Collection Specialist who is ready to join a fast-growing company and bring their expertise to our team.

About us

Careerist is an online learning platform that trains tech job seekers and automates their job applications with software, leading to faster and higher placement. It features live and self-paced training via adaptive-learning software and partnerships with third-party tutors who teach on Careerist's infrastructure. It was founded by serial entrepreneurs in 2019 and has been backed by YCombinator and other VC investors with $5M in funding.

Techcrunch’s review of Careerist states: "Edtech meets SaaS in Careerist’s job placement learning platform. The startup trains job seekers through live and self-paced training taught by third-party tutors. The adaptive learning software is meant to help candidates prepare for tech interviews. Once a candidate is well equipped, Careerist use automation to help them apply for jobs."

Responsibilities

  • Day to day check LMS support mails / refund requests/repeated mails/requests
  • Confirm/check details of students requesting for a refund on the Careerist back office - track in ClickUp/Google sheet file
  • Send a 1st mail to students stating that their request is under review and ask the reason for/details of the refund request 
  • Check the student study progress and status on Analytics (BackOffice)
  • Check if a previous refund request has been made before, by checking for support calls and email.  Check the information from support i.e. if there is evidence of previous call and/or email prior was received
  • Ask for additional proofs for the refunds based on health problems/ emergency situation cases/guarantee cases
  • Make the folder for  docs keeping under  each of cases related to health problems/ emergency situation/guarantee
  • Make short and clear notice ClickUp/Google Tracker  for the stage/reason of refund request and tag appropriate colleague from Sales/ Product/Customer success/Legal  departments to get deccion /assistance 
  • Communicate the student with a proposal/refusal /confirmation of refund

Requirements

  • Proven track record of success in sales
  • Excellent customer service and phone skills
  • Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping
  • Excellent organizational, communication, multitasking, and teamwork skills
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Proven experience as Refund Manager/Customer Support /Compliance manager 
  • Attention to details
  • Exceptional organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills and good written and spoken English
  • Russian language
  • Understanding of internal agreements and cancellation policy
  • Basic knowledge of Excel and BackOffice, LMS, MS office,ClickUp
