QA Engineer

Role: QA Engineer at ybot ​ 

Engagement: Full-time contractor, fully remote

Location: Global*, EU timezones working hours

Visa support: We’re willing to support our teammates with a Digital Nomad visa for Spain after 3 months with ybot

Salary range: $ 3000 - 3700

Your purpose at ybot

Ensure top-tier quality in our Voice AI job assistants for clinicians. As a QA Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in testing and refining our applications. Your efforts will contribute directly to maintaining seamless functionality and enhancing user satisfaction through meticulous quality assurance.
 

The tasks you will own

● Be a testing expert: Be willing to share best approaches and practices with colleagues.

● Ensure Quality Across Components: Anticipate quality impacts beyond the current task, considering related components and systems.

● Conduct Exploratory Testing.

● Clarify Requirements and Acceptance Criteria: Ask insightful questions and clarify quality and acceptance criteria for all tasks and features.

● Provide Product Expertise: Serve as the go-to expert on ybot, explaining its usage to others and suggesting product improvements.

● Mainly conduct manual testing but be ready to gradually introduce automation in the future.

● Create confidence in product quality.

● Assess and Communicate Bug Risks: Identify various bug risks and effectively communicate their potential impact to the team.

● Create and Optimize Test Documentation.

● Diversify Regression Tests: Regularly diversify regression tests to avoid repetitive checks and ensure comprehensive testing coverage.
 

Your professional attributes

● Excellent written and spoken English.

● Strong skills in:

○ analyzing and testing requirements;

○ creating and maintaining test documentation;

○ manual testing;

○ providing exploratory testing;

○ analyzing and troubleshooting issues using Kibana and log data;

○ mobile device testing;

○ API testing using Postman and Swagger

● Programming language knowledge, preferably Python (a plus).

● Experience with testing frameworks like pytest, Playwright, or analogs (a plus).

● Experience with testing tools like Appium or analogs (a plus).

It’s a bonus if you have

● Proficiency in testing voice applications and related technologies.

● Experience in testing no-code web applications.

● Experience working in early-stage startups.
